2 lbs stew meat
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
10-12 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground marjoram
½ cup beef broth
1 acorn squash, halved and seeds removed
salt and fresh pepper to taste
- In a slow cooker, top stew meat with the remaining ingredients except for squash and mix well.
- Place the acorn squash directly on top of the meat mixture, put the squash meat facing down on the stew meat. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Scoop out acorn squash from the skin, place in bowl or plate and top with the stew.
