These delicious little bars are wonderful tasting but beware, they’re full of sugar... natural sugar. There’s a bunch of natural sugar in dates and the apples. I recommend this yummy, sweet treat as a snack once you’ve lost the weight you desire to lose. This is not a snack for the weight-loss phase of your program. Sugar is sugar, even natural sugar can be weight and health sabotaging in excess. This is an all natural, paleo diet snack which your children LOVE. Since this recipe has whole food ingredients and no artificial anything, it’s makes a super-smart choice for noshing on and nourishing your sacred vessel!
1 cup organic dried apples
½ cup organic almonds
½ cup organic walnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon organic vanilla
1. Add all ingredients to a food processor. Pulse until a doughy consistency forms. The dough should be sticky, but not too sticky so you cannot press it. If too sticky, add more nuts to desired consistency.
2. In a 9 x 13 baking dish, arrange a layer of wax paper, letting the wax paper drape about an inch over each side.
3. Please dough in pan and press down to spread. Spread evenly. Using a cookie cutter, cut into bars.
4. Refrigerate for at least two hours to set.
