When the weather cools off, I crave hot cereal in the morning. Here’s a delish and simple breakfast porridge recipe that contains a superfood (chia seeds), is grain free, has oodles of fiber (which helps you make poops – which is a very good thing), is sugar free, and takes less than 5 minutes to make! What more could you want in a recipe?
I use all different types of berries when making this recipe. Today I used blueberries. Try adding some chopped nuts or nut butter for extra protein and healthy, brain boosting fats or a dash of cinnamon or a little vanilla extract for a more complex flavor! YUM…

2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
2 teaspoons Erythritol sweetener (I use Swerve)
1/3 cup hot water (off the boil)
2 tablespoons heavy cream, half & half, or unsweetened almond or coconut milk
2 tablespoons nut butter (optional)
In a small bowl, stir together chia seed, flax seed meal, and erythritol.
Add hot water, stir and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in cream and any other ingredients your using.
