Calling all Shamrock Shake lovers … you know who you are! Check out this healthy Mint Shake recipe!
Many Smoothies and Shakes contain a lot of carbs via natural sugar, so I tend to avoid making them. This shake recipe from the Sistah In The Raw Facebook Page. It’s sugar free, contains healthy fats, protein and is delicious! Make sure that the peppermint essential oil you use is FOOD GRADE! I use and recommend Young Living Essential Oils.
1/2 cup coconut milk, unsweetened
1/2 cup packed spinach
2 tablespoons packed mint leaves
1-2 drops peppermint essential oil (FOOD GRADE)
1/3 cup vanilla protein powder (I use Jay Robb brand)
1 heaping cup ice cubes
2 spoonfuls avocado, optional
Stevia or Swerve, to taste
2 teaspoons cacao nibs
- Blend the milk, spinach, mint, protein, avocado, and ice until smooth and frosty.
- Taste. Add stevia and cacao nibs.
- Blend again very briefly breaking down the nibs into little bits.
