Many snazzy cocktails and even some of my baking recipes call for Simple Syrup as an ingredient.
Simple Syrup is basically sugar water … which is a huge NO-NO around Sugar Free Goddess! There are plenty of artificial sugar free liquids available for purchase but when possible, I always recommend using all natural ingredients to properly nourish your sacred body vessel. The following recipes take less than one minute to prepare … it’s totally worth it!
Making low carb, sugar free Simple Syrup is easy-peasy. Here are a couple of recipes for ya:
Swerve Simple Syrup
½ cup Swerve Sweetener
½ cup water
- Heat Swerve and water in a small sauce pan over medium heat, stirring until dissolved.
Truvia Simple Syrup
31⁄2 tablespoons Truvía® natural sweetener, granular
1⁄2 cup warm water
- Add Truvía® natural sweetener to 1⁄2cup warm water, blend until completely dissolved.
Store your Simple Syrup in the refrigerator. For best results, use within a day of making.
